Odisha Special Premium Quality Biri Badi is a traditional Odia dry food made from 100% pure Urad Dal (Black Gram), locally known as Biri. It is a widely used ingredient in many authentic Odia dishes and is commonly enjoyed with rice, dal, and vegetables.

In today’s market, many products sold as Biri Badi are often mixed with rice badi. Such products may look attractive and remain firm during transportation, which is why they are usually available at a lower price. However, the taste and overall quality are not the same as authentic urad dal badi.

Our Biri Badi is made entirely from premium quality urad dal, which naturally makes it softer and more delicate. Because of this natural softness, a few pieces may break during handling or transportation. To maintain quality, we carefully filter and select the better pieces before packing, and we always try to ensure that around 75% or more pieces are in good shape in every pack.

Since it is made from 100% urad dal without mixing rice, the price may be slightly higher compared to regular market badi, but it offers the authentic traditional taste and premium quality that true Odia cuisine is known for.

This badi can be roasted or fried and is commonly used in traditional dishes such as Badi Chura, Ghanta Tarkari (Mixed Curry), Badi Saaga, and even in some fish curry preparations, adding a unique flavour and crunchy texture.
